There are 6 acute trauma beds, 3 acute cardiac beds, and 6 other monitored beds for acute patients. This ED sees about 64,000 patients annually - approximately 175 patients in 24 hours. As a Level II trauma center, the unit staff are supported by the trauma, medical, and neurosurgery services.
