Job Title: PLANNER IV (Social Planning) SR-22

Assists in the design and development of planning projects through the analysis and application of social, economic and physical data and reports; and performs other related duties as required.

 Additional Job Information:

 Minimum Qualification Requirements:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major work in City Planning, Architecture, Engineering, Economics, Sociology, Public Administration or a related field. Work experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis. Such experience must have provided the knowledge, skills, and analytical ability normally gained from attainment of a bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Three years of professional experience in socio-economic research, including or supplemented by one year of professional work experience in the planning, development and formulation of social or community action projects and programs.

Substitution:
A Master's degree in public health, social work or a related field may be substituted for one year of professional work experience in the planning, development and formulation of social or community action projects and programs. You must submit a copy of your diploma and/or transcript within 7 days of filing this application in order to be given credit. License Requirement:
Valid Hawaii Driver's License (Type 3) prior to appointment.
