  Sheriff's Senior Fingerprint Examiner 
 
Sheriff's Senior Fingerprint Examiner are first-line supervisors on an assigned shift in the Records and ID Division. Senior Fingerprint Examiners report to a Sheriff's Operations Supervisor and are responsible for writing procedures for technical and workflow operations, scheduling, training, and evaluating assigned subordinates.  This classification performs the most technical fingerprint pattern analysis and classification work.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Completion of course work in fingerprint identification from the FBI, Department of Justice, or an accredited U.S. college in fingerprint science (interpretation and classification); AND
  2. Eighteen (18) months of experience as a Sheriff's Fingerprint Examiner; OR; Two and a half (2.5) years of experience at the level of a Sheriff's Fingerprint Examiner in a law enforcement agency performing fingerprint identification, classification by visual inspection and analysis of fingerprints.
 
In addition, the department desires candidates who demonstrate knowledge of information systems, leadership skills, communicate effectively, exhibit knowledge worker traits, innovation and problem solving, ethics, initiative, motivation, adaptability, supportive of change, and are detail oriented.

EVALUATION
Qualified applicants will be placed a 12-month employment list based on scores received during the evaluation of information contained in their employment application and supplemental questionnaire.
