In our efforts to provide a new streamlined and user-friendly application process, the City of Sioux City will be moving to an on-line application process effective October 23, 2017. All potential candidates will have the opportunity to apply on line through their personal computers or smart phones. Individuals may also apply by using public computers often found at local libraries or employment services offices.
After October 23, 2017, paper applications will no longer be accepted.
To apply for a position, click on the job, review the job description and click on “Apply”. If you have not applied on our site previously, you will need to create an account. Once you have created your Username and Password, you will be able to upload your resume or manually enter your information. This information will be stored on a secured server and may be used to apply for future job openings. Remember to check your account regularly for updates on the status of your applications.
Please note: Effective July 1, 1997, per Council resolution, all City employees must be residents of the State of Iowa and reside within ten (10) miles of the city limits (click here to review the map). The City Manager, assistants to the City Manager and Department Heads shall reside within the city limits
